The subject that I have enjoyed the most this semester is "Culture of classical architecture". Here we study the origin of architecture, and how different currents and schools have developed throughout history.
I like it because history is very important to understand how we got here. We have analyzed from the first human settlements, then through the classic Greece and Rome to our days, and it makes a lot of sense to see how the architecture has always developed taking as reference past things to improve them and bring them to the present with a new personality thanks to technological advances.
I have learned a lot in this course, because we have gone through many historical moments. And we not only learn architecture, because to understand it we must also learn from the social and economic changes that occurred throughout history. That's why I consider it a very complete course.
Classical Greece is the period that most intrigued me, partly also because there are many things that have not yet been revealed and all the knowledge we have is based on ruins that were left from that time.
