summer holidays

This summer vacation I would have liked to go to Brazil, which is a trip that we have planned long time ago with my best friend, go to know the beaches, visit the river Iguazu National Park, the Christ and hopefully all the tourist places.  dance until I can no longer tan, also although that is almost impossible and have many caipirinhas and other typical drinks there.
basically relax to know another culture, explore places, learn new things, spend time with my best friend, take thousands of photos, do a lot of things to last the holidays in our memory, that was my first plan until mid-year, but  Just a terrible misfortune occurred, my best friend was diagnosed with cancer and the treatment is very expensive so it is impossible for us to go.
my second plan was to go to Colombia with my boyfriend and basically the same thing to know places the beautiful beaches, the colorful streets, the people and the culture the only big drawback is that now  is my ex-boyfriend hahaha then it is also a complicated thing to happen but not  impossible if we go as friends, I  don't know ... in summary I have planned my vacation more than once and almost always something happens, I think I will end up waiting for time to pass and at the moment I decide to do something I will do it and  I will not let so much time pass, sometimes improvised things are the best.

nene

It all started when I began to feel very alone in the department and believed that I lacked company, it was like this once at the beginning of the year with the intention of bringing me my little dog from Rancagua who is a small breed so I did not bother in the department. He was a week and became depressed, although he tried to take a walk at least 4 times a day without enough fuel, in Rancagua he was used to being in a bigger place, where he could run and leave whenever he wanted, so I decided to return it to Rancagua where Now he is very happy and I see the weekends.
A few months went by and I felt alone again in the apartment, the truth is that it is difficult to live far from home, in that one day when I was on Facebook an ad appeared to me from a girl from Santiago who gave kittens, it seemed to me that as the Cats are much more independent. You could come to live with me at the apartment, so I went to look. He was the smallest of the litter, lacked color unlike his other brothers and was the most independent. As he was the smallest and most fragile, his brothers did not play with him, so he had fun alone and explored more than the others.
When I took him to the apartment it was a challenge, because of its size it was difficult to use the litter box and also chew some food, sometimes it scared me because it really was very small and at any moment something could have happened, at the time after I get used to it and it grew. Now he is 4 months old, now he is happy and crazy

LEON

Recently I see the French´s movie ¨leon : the professional ¨ is an action thriller film written by luc besson. Some of the actors that were part of the movie are Jean Reno, Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman.

The history treat of the story about leon a hired murderer and Mathilda a little girl that will becomes his protected after her family was killed by corrupt drug enforcement agent. Both have an unusual relationship something strange really in the critic, in the reviews I read, they said that the director had been inspired by another film Lolita.

I really liked the movie because; the story had a lot of drama many of its parts were improvised in the production, the music is well and i love the frames of typical scenes of French’s films.

My Experience Blogging

I really liked posting here. Although many weeks i could not do it in time, anyway i managed to post all the blogs and comply with the requirements of the course.

The blog gave me more practice to improve my english. And finally that is what we need most to have a fluent english: practice and more practice. It is the law of life, practice to improve.

It was also fun because i usually had to write about subjects that i chose, so it was not something tedious but rather entertaining. I talked about myself, my career, yoga, how much i hate Santiago, among other things.

I also used to read my mates blogs, which dealt with very interesting things. This gave a sense of community to the personal task and also helped us to know each other better by sharing the topics that we liked.

I would suggest for the next semester to add a blogspot in which a personal video speaking english is required. In that way we would not only work on the expression of written english, but also on spoken english. I think it is necessary, because both forms are very different from putting them into practice.

Artificial Intelligence

Since the nineteenth century technology has been growing at a rate never before seen, and is already reaching exponential levels.

Thus during the last years we have seen new inventions such as radio, television, cell phone, etc.

One of the most interesting is the computer, because from it the human being can program different codes to create new inventions better than the previous ones.

And so we even create the "artificial intelligence" (AI). An algorithm that is able to solve complex problems, and generate knowledge through its errors and the environment.

Now, if we do not start to legislate about it and treat it with great care then at any moment could appear the drop that overflows the glass and the matter may get out of hand. Because the devices we have created are capable of storing much, but much more information than our own brains. And now we are adding an intelligence independent of us that can use these data at its convenience. Thus, if we are not careful, we will end up facing a metaphysical monster that is much more capable than all of us. And with that, the Matrix movie could stop being just fiction.

Culture of classical architecture

The subject that I have enjoyed the most this semester is "Culture of classical architecture". Here we study the origin of architecture, and how different currents and schools have developed throughout history.

I like it because history is very important to understand how we got here. We have analyzed from the first human settlements, then through the classic Greece and Rome to our days, and it makes a lot of sense to see how the architecture has always developed taking as reference past things to improve them and bring them to the present with a new personality thanks to technological advances.

I have learned a lot in this course, because we have gone through many historical moments. And we not only learn architecture, because to understand it we must also learn from the social and economic changes that occurred throughout history. That's why I consider it a very complete course.

Classical Greece is the period that most intrigued me, partly also because there are many things that have not yet been revealed and all the knowledge we have is based on ruins that were left from that time.

Plataforma Arquitectura

I am going to talk a little about a web for architects that i recommend. I mean www.archdaily.com.

This website provides information on different projects around the world, ranging from cultural, educational, sports and industrial projects to religious, public and commercial projects. This is the section that I use the most.

In addition, news, opinion articles, books and interviews are published.

It has a section where different products for the construction of infrastructures are sold.

Information about architectural events is also available, but it is difficult to fit in with any because it can be anywhere in the world.

Finally, competitions sponsored by agencies around the world in search of new talent are published.

The website can be visited in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese.

To be honest I do not visit this website a lot, but I use it when I need images of certain projects to present about them in classes. That's why I like the web, because it has information about many projects around the world.

I hate Santiago

And i don't mean to a man. I mean to the city, yes, this city.

I am pretty sure i am not the only person with this feeling, because if you borned and raised up in a smaller city for sure you understand this for yourself. But if tou didn't, i am going to explain the point.

Walking through this city is more exhausting than walking in others because the air is of poor quality, because wherever you look you only see cement and more cement, and because the noise drives you crazy.

I despair of not having a place nearby with pure air and without apartments everywhere, where the sky can be seen and the silence allows me to calm down after a day of studies.

Also, people are not exactly nice. Everyone is living their world and no one smiles. Asking something to someone is scary.

My christening

This picture was taken in my catholic-apostolic-roman christening. From left to right: my mother, me, my father, and my baptize godfather and godmother.

I really don't remember how old i was for this moment, but my face said everything. I mean, i didn't understand anything of the ritual. I can remember my father and mother told me something like god, faith, and stuffs like this but clearly i didn't get in the feeling.

Indeed, nowadays i don't understand yet this things, thats why i am not so devotee, as my family are. I respect their thoughs, and share the same table when they are praying to god before eat, but i am like "amen too, but let me eat please".

I believe in god but i don't thing i have to thing him (or her) and pray to him for every single thing i live. It is dangerous because it can be an excuse to ask him to do everything and blame him for what does not go well, instead of giving the best of myself.

Yoga is it a sport?

Yoga is a physical and mental practice that promotes the wellbeing of the whole organism, although there are many types of yoga focused on different things, like for example, the type of meditation to which this destined (Vipassana, zazen, transcendental, Kundalini, etc.) according to the Type of meditation to which it belongs is related to the intensity of activity it requires.

While one exercises the body during the practice, we cannot consider it as a sport because on the one hand the sport focuses on the competitiveness, the effort and also works with a greater intensity, which can cause injuries, to the opposite of what happens with yoga that is a totally different discipline because it respects the limits and doesn’t compare with other practitioners, it doesn’t seek a goal.

Although it is not classified as a sport in itself it is a good exercise that helps not only to feel calmer, but also brings benefits for mental and physical health.

Why did i choose my major?

When I was a child my dream job has  been a police officer because I saw a police woman in a horse and Thought there was very cool ( yes, at the age of five its was Incredible for me).

When I Grew up I realized forget the whole idea to be an a police officer and I started to fix or notice that matters in the school I liked more, the ones I liked most were art and biology. Then I started looking for related careers, and the most sense I found did was dentistry, when I finish school, I studied dentistry, which I studied for 2 years in that years I realized I don’t really liked and I leave.

After that I let it take me a year to think and prepare the psu and that's how I get to study architecture and I'm very happy in that. I think I finally found the career I love.
